Applications:

    Mainly used as raw material for optical glass, chemical-resistant coatings, heat-resistant coatings and adhesives. Also applied in the preparation of SiO2 and multi-component oxides containing SiO2 components via CVD and Sol-Gel methods. Used for synthesizing organic silicon intermediates, as well as for refractory binders and precision casting, and as crosslinking agent for room temperature vulcanized (RTV) silicone rubber. For chemical-resistant and heat-resistant coatings, its hydrolyzate can be used to manufacture phosphors.

    When used on natural stone or other building materials, it can form inorganic substances similar to silica sol (SiO2) to enhance substrate strength. In glass and plastic lens materials, SI28 provides an ultra-hard, scratch-resistant coating.
